Feature=BulkMail permits the transmission of Email messages to multiple recipients from the Site. The method and characteristics of this transmission can be configured via Setting=BulkMail, as follows:
- Account
- For Method=>SMTP, specifies the Account Name (Userid) at the SMTP Server that will be used to transmit messages. Default is "BulkMail@{domain-name}"
- CC-Suffix
- The text string that is added to the bottom of each Carbon Copy Email message generated by the Site to the CCEmail address (typically, to replicate a Mail or Notification Message). For messages send to an individual via SMTP, the CCEmail address is added to the Email as a CC entry and, as a result, will be an exact duplicate of the Email message sent to the Recipient (including the Suffix).
Default is:
- Method
- Indicates the Method of transport to send Email from the Site to a Mail Server for transmission on the SMTP Network. Possible values are:
- PHPMail (transmission via PHP's Mail function). This is the default Setting
- SMTP (transmission via direct logon to a specific Account)
Method=>SMTP permits improved performance over Method=>PHPMail, but requires the specification of a Server, Account, and Password. Default is "PHPMail".
Note: Gmail (as of 2/15/2020) requires Method=OAUTH2, which is not currently available via Feature=BulkMail.
- Password
- Method=>SMTP, establishes the Password for the Account needed to logon at the Server
- POP-Port
- For Method=>SMTP, establishes the TCP Port used to contact the Mail Server for outgoing transmissions. Default is "110".
- POP-Server
- Method=>SMTP, provides the address of the Mail Server that services POP requests.
- POP-Timeout
- For Method=>SMTP, establishes the number of seconds to wait for a Socket connection from the Website host to the POP-Server. Default is "60".
- SendMaximum
- Specifies the maximum number of recipient candidates in the results listing that will permit Send=On or Send=Off logic. If the number of recipients exceeds this value, all eligible recipients will receive the Message. Default is "250".
- SMTP-Port
- For Method=>SMTP, establishes the TCP Port used to contact the Mail Server for outgoing transmissions. Default is "587".
- SMTP-Security
- For Method=>SMTP, establishes the type of security connection utilized when contacting the identified SMTP-Server for outgoing transmissions. Default is Unspecified.
- SMTP-Server
- Method=>SMTP, provides the address of the Mail Server that services SMTP requests.
- Suffix
- The text string that is added to the bottom of each Email message generated by the Site. Default is:
